All Quiet On The Western Front…

The pulmonologist called last week and said my chest x-rays were normal, and same with my throat culture.  My visit to the pediatrian showed my weight was up to 10 lbs, 2 ounces.  My weight is now within normal range for my age.  I’ll be going for weight checks every two weeks in addition to my CF clinic visits, just to make sure I’m on the right track. I’m awake longer during the day, and I’m sleeping longer at night, sleeping 4-5 hours straight each night.

Mommy and daddy are settling into more of a routine.  Mommy takes care of me each day while daddy works, then he does a bit when he’s home, and mommy gets to sleep extra on the weekends.  Daddy prints out my schedule each night for the next day, as it tracks what I eat, when I eat, all my medicines, salt intake, my ‘output’, and other comments from the day.  He keeps it all on the computer and gives it to the doctors.  Other than that, mommy does most of the work.  My burps are getting louder and stronger, and I’m becoming a little man.  I still smile for both of them on occasion, and I’ve even had a few more trips outside.  Mostly to the mailbox and just them carrying me around while in the front yard.  I’ve spent more time down in the theater now.  They won’t let me watch TV, but its not for a lack of me trying.  I just sleep in their arms or get to eat while they watch television, 4 episodes of Lost this weekend, as they were behind.

Today we met our goal of raising $3000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Thanks to everybody for helping donate!

Not much else to say, as things are going well and we’re just enjoying life.
